친한 형의 장례식 소식에 오랜만에 한국을 찾은 북경대 교수 최현은 문득 7년 전 죽은 형과 함께 봤던 춘화 한 장을 떠올려 충동적으로 경주로 향한다.
춘화가 있던 찻집을 찾은 최현은 아름다운 찻집 주인 윤희를 만나게 된다.
대뜸 춘화 못 봤냐 물은 최현은 뜻하지 않게 변태로 오인 받게 되고, 찻집을 나선 최현은 과거의 애인 여정을 불러 경주로 오게 한다.
반가워하는 최현과는 달리 내내 불안해하던 여정은 곧 돌아가 버린다.
다시 찻집을 찾아온 최현을 지켜보던 윤희는 차츰 호기심을 느끼게 되고, 윤희의 저녁 계모임 술자리까지 함께하게 된 최현과 윤희 사이에 기묘한 기류가 흐르기 시작하는데…
